When the Aboriginal Legal Service rose from the streets of Redfern in 1970, it marked the beginning of a movement, inspiring a new wave of Aboriginal community-controlled organisations and free legal services around the country.
52 years later, the fight for justice and equity continues. After months of uncertainty due to the pandemic, we are looking forward to finally celebrating our golden anniversary with our community and supporters.
This dinner will be a rare opportunity to gather together with our founders and Elders, Aboriginal community members, and our valued allies to celebrate the legacy and ongoing impact of the Aboriginal Legal Service.
