The Aboriginal Legal Service has been fighting for justice for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people for over 50 years.

This annual report celebrates our proud legacy of resistance and resilience as well as our work over the 2020-21 financial year.

Despite the continuing COVID-19 pandemic, we continued to scale up our service output and impact, supporting 23,691 Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people through our legal services alone.

Our auspiced and partnered services reached additional people, promoting tenants' rights, justice reinvestment, and participation in the Disability Royal Commission.

At the end of the financial year, the Aboriginal Legal Service (NSW/ACT) Limited remains in a strong position to support and advocate for Aboriginal children, adults, families and communities. With a newly elected Board and a fresh organisational strategy commencing in 2021-22, we are energised to keep up the fight.
